ABOUT LESLIE ROSENBERG
Teaching unique, powerful learning tools to conquer individual learning disabilities.
Director, Tutor and Therapist
Leslie Rosenberg is a visual perceptual therapist and reading specialist with more than 20 years of experience. She was trained and employed by a developmental behavioral optometrist who specialized in treating visually related reading and learning disorders. Leslie received her certification as a vision therapist in 2003.
Leslie is also trained in well-known, highly specialized multi-sensory and Orton Gillingham tutoring methods for Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADHD and learning disability procedures that improve cognitive, attention and memory skills. Her students often improve reading grade level, comprehension and usually can test out of remedial and resource programs.
Leslie's therapy tutoring program begins with an initial comprehensive evaluation and assessment of individual needs as it pertains to each student. Her therapy includes visual, perceptual, visual motor therapy, special education reading/writing tutoring programs, and cognitive brain skills training. Individually created multi-level programs are designed to benefit students with dyslexia and/or other reading and learning disorders. Leslie uses visual perceptual games and challenging memory and critical skill exercises, all while simultaneously rebuilding crucial learning skills. All programs are individually designed to suit each student's learning style.
Before becoming a visual perceptual therapist, Leslie was an education counselor for the emotionally and mentally disabled. She also was a vocational counselor for The Federation of the Handicapped in New York.
Leslie has more than 20 years of teaching experience with special needs clients and those with dyslexia.
